Da’dra Crawford Greathouse, one-half of the Grammy-nominated and multiple Dove and Stellar Award-winning vocal group Anointed, recently attended the 2014 National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention held Feb. 22-24 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The vocalist, who now serves as a co-pastor of the worship team at Joel and Victoria Osteen’s Lakewood Church, met with media and industry leaders to discuss plans for her long-awaited solo CD.
“Being at NRB brought back pleasant memories as I saw familiar faces and made new acquaintances,” Greathouse says. “It was an excellent opportunity to connect with media from all across the country and I had a splendidly good time.”
“Arms Wide Open,” the first track from the highly-anticipated project, is currently available at iTunes.
Greathouse enlisted the talents of producer Aaron Lindsey to help craft the new song. A multi-Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Award winner who has worked with such superstars as Natalie Grant, Israel Houghton & New Breed, CeCe Winans, Royal Tailor and Marvin Sapp, Lindsey is also the son of a former minister of music and choir director, so he knows a thing or two about Gospel music. The combination of their powerhouse talents portends a great sound. Inspired by a service at Lakewood Church, the uplifting, confessional, congregational anthem is already impacting iTunes.
“I am at a place where God is prodding me to record my very first solo CD,” says Greathouse. “I am currently in the process of writing songs for the new project and I am very excited!”
