Village KNG released their new full-length album, Side A + B, in March 2026.
As hip hop witnesses a powerful resurgence of its architects returning with some of their most refined and intentional work, Village KNG — the collaborative duo of Knowdaverbs and Pettidee — releases their full-length album, Village KNG: Side A + B.
Village KNG represents Modern Legacy: music shaped by experience, sharpened by time, and made for right now.
Long respected as innovators and pioneers within Christian Hip Hop and the broader culture, Knowdaverbs and Pettidee reunite with renewed focus — creating music grounded in Classic DNA, New Energy.
Side A + B is a double-sided offering that blends golden-era boom bap, Southern grit, soulful instrumentation, and futuristic production. Lyrically, the album navigates lived faith, perseverance, storytelling, and social reflection — crafted intentionally as Music for the Whole Village, spanning generations without compromising authenticity.
“Legacy isn’t about repeating the past. It’s about carrying it responsibly into the future.” — Pettidee
The project features contributions from DJ Skillspinz, Monty G, OGtha3, and Latori Wilder, with production helmed by Tone Jonez, Pettidee, and Knowdaverbs themselves. Together, the collaborators help shape a sound that feels both familiar and forward, timeless without being stuck in time.
“We made this album for the people who grew up with us — and the people growing up now.” — Knowdaverbs
Village KNG: Side A + B is available exclusively through their website. Download it or get your vinyl or other editions here.
The album also features the radio single, “Back to Action.” A high-energy, sonically futuristic statement record designed to call listeners out of passivity and back into authentic, lived-out faith.
Village KNG stands at the intersection of heritage and progress.
Seasoned craftsmen, rebel uncles, and cultural bridge-builders who are proving that hip hop, made with purpose, doesn’t age out. It levels up!
