BLVRS (be•lie•vers), the collaborative project of Canadian producer Owen Bloomfield (Nitro X) and American artist Jordan Blaine, proudly release their debut EP MORE LIKE YOU on October 24th.
Known for their unique approach to Christian pop, BLVRS push the boundaries of the genre with MORE LIKE YOU. The project is rooted in modern pop production but flavored with influences of funk, disco, ambient textures, and even drum-and-bass. The result is a sound that is unmistakably Christian pop — authentic, innovative, and deeply rooted in scripture.
Lyrically, MORE LIKE YOU wrestles with what it means to honestly follow Jesus. It acknowledges that salvation is not something we can earn, yet out of gratitude we’re called to reflect Him more fully in our lives. Across the EP, BLVRS give voice to the highs and lows of faith.
The opener, “Another Way,” captures the cry for God’s direction when life feels overwhelming. “Keep Me Believing” digs into doubt and the fight to hold onto faith. “Different Kind of Love” reflects on God’s grace that restores and sustains. “Rest” addresses burnout and the renewal found in His presence. Finally, the title track, “More Like You,” bursts with funky, jazzy energy, celebrating the daily pursuit of becoming more like Christ.
“This EP is about being honest in our walk with God,” BLVRS share. “It’s about wrestling with doubts that co-exist with faith. Faith is confidence and trust even when we cannot see. Without asking questions or having doubts, how are we to grow deeper?” Shares Owen. “We hope this EP draws people back to scripture, away from a lukewarm faith-life, and becoming fully surrendered to Christ.”
With their second EP, “MORE LIKE YOU”, BLVRS continue to establish themselves as a bold new voice in Christian music, creating songs that are both relevant and reverent, full of fun grooves, and grounded in biblical truth.
