Hey rockers and welcome to this week’s rock news roundup! And yes, I am back! Thank you so much for your patience about my hiatus. Stick around till the end for more on that.
We are going to start it off with something I found out the day of the release while in Germany. I have to admit, it threw me a curveball. If you had asked me before now if this is something that the band would release, I would have been like, “nah”. With that said, I totally feel like I could jive to this in the car. Disciple released a remix of “The Executioner” and it gives the song a completely different vibe. Check out the remix on your favorite platforms via here, or on youtube below!

Classic Disaster dropped “Prey For Peace” and it goes hard!! In the byline section of the video it explains the message behind the song. Check out the lyric video below. “We choose war over words, call for death not for life, say we’re fighting for peace, but we just want a piece of the fight”.

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. Now: My “It’s good to be back” word. I just wanted to give a shout out to a guy (I am SO sorry, I cannot remember names to save my life) who kicked my butt in gear to come back and write these again. You see, in this Christian rock community, I do have a niche of being “known” , at least at certain venues and festivals. And no, I’m not claiming fame by anyyyy means. But I do get 5 to 20 ( depending on it being a show or a festival) people come up and talk to me who know me but I don’t know them. Why do these people know me? It’s always been because of my photography, the amount of shows I go to, or my social media connections. However, I just came back from a Behold the Beloved and Pillar show, and some awesome dude knew my full name. But it was, for the first time, because of these roundups. I had never been recognized because of Jesuswired before, and honestly…..it was nice. These roundups, while they take minutes to read, take 3 to 4 hrs to write and put into format. Because of how many shows I’ve gone to this past month, I needed to focus on editing photos instead, especially Loud and Proud photos. But knowing that there was someone who really wanted me to continue these roundups, I had to come back! Thank you to everyone who reads these articles.
