Kutless dropped their “The Seventh Seal” EP. Outside of the 4 singles they had previously released beforehand, there are two new singles in the EP. Those two singles are “Breakthrough” and “Hold On”. You can check out the full EP below. This is their first release (outside of their Twenty EP) in several years! You might notice that it has a strong end times theme in both the EP name and in many of the song lyrics. This EP is one of two of my top favorite albums of the year (Co-owned with our next band’s album). It’s so good to see them back!!! Sidenote; any guesses as to who is talking in the beginning of “Hold On”? I may not have insider knowledge myself, but that “yeah” is pretty distinctive in my opinion. Anyone else think they know that voice?
Behold The Beloved released “Harsh Realities”, and you can check out their press release for the album here. I can definitely tell that Josiah/Andrew (of Disciple) had a hand in the production. This album has a little harder rock sound than they usually go for (with the exception of the worship cover song Gratitude). I wasn’t sure I could love a song off the album as much as Dear Martyrs or Toxic Lullabies, however Ready to Die comes in as a third tie. But the entire album is fiiiire, and as I said, it ties for my favorite album of the year! Check it out below. Thank you to BTB for being willing to talk about “harsh realities”. Micah Ariss dropped a music video for “Till The End”. Check it out below! “I know this road now leads to nothing. To make it out I need to turn my face to the wind. There’s no avoiding the pain that’s coming. So bring it on if there’s a chance I can live again”. When you understand that the situation you are in or something you are doing is only holding you back or hurting you, that’s the time to grit your teeth and fight your way out of it.

The throwback song of the week is Sayonara by Disciple. This song doesn’t get enough love, and I really wish they would bring it back out at live shows (they did the song live very briefly).
