After the heartfelt debut EP Behind the Scenes, BLVRS (be•lie•vers) — the collaborative project from artists Nitro X and Jordan Blaine — return with a vulnerable and ambient new single titled “REST.” Blending dreamy pop textures with contemplative worship lyrics, the track offers listeners a place of stillness in a loud and chaotic world.
Inspired by the tension between over-scheduling and spiritual burnout, “REST” is a raw reflection on learning to let go and find peace in God’s presence. The song’s warm, atmospheric production supports lyrics like “Teach me to settle / To fall asleep in Your meadows” and the repeated plea: “Give me rest.”
“We wrote this out of a shared place of exhaustion,” says Owen Bloomfield. “There’s this pressure to always be doing, especially in music. This song became a prayer for ourselves first — to slow down and just be with God.”
Following in the sonic footsteps of artists like The Young Escape, Switch, and ZOE worship, the track combines gentle keys, layered harmonies, and an emotive vocal delivery that creates space for personal reflection and worship.
“REST” will be available on all major streaming platforms Friday, June 27, 2025.
