Magdalene Rose dropped her new single “Can You Fix Me?”. She posted the story behind the song and it’s very powerful. Many of us can probably relate to her story in some ways. Read it here and then listen to the song below! “I’ve been searching for substance. Something separate from medicine. ‘Cause it numbs but doesn’t heal me. I need you here to rescue me from this”.
Lo Cloud dropped a lyric video for their newest song “Medicate”. As I said last week, it’s my favorite song of theirs so far! “I don’t want to face it so I medicate, it’s not working. Oh it’s so much easier to run away, than soul searching.”
Coqui just dropped his “Death to Your Ego” EP. Check out the EP on spotify here and listen to the title track below! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Coqui in these roundups (about a year), and now I feel like binging all his music. The moment I first heard him on an instagram reel, I immediately knew he was a unique musician who God was going to use. This EP solidifies that opinion. I will always lift up voices that stand upon the word of God.
Reclaim the Day dropped a banger! I was listening to the first half of the song and thought, “yeah, this is a good song for sure”. But then the second half of the song started playing, and I went “wow!”. I love the fact that Christian rock and metal go beyond symbolic struggles like “going through valleys and deserts” and such. I love that our genre isn’t afraid to talk about deep, heart wrenching things. But sometimes these songs don’t have a hopeful conclusion to them, which that’s okay! Our stories, emotions, and situations are valid and it’s okay not to feel okay at times. But I have to say it’s also good to once in a while see hope woven throughout a song talking about pain and heartbreak. We need to remember that God will never leave nor forsake us.
War of Ages just dropped their re-recorded “Eternal” album for their 15th anniversary! I’m probably going to get some people booing me in their heads, but I’ve never actually heard the original album, so I cannot compare it to this new version. However, this goes hard! Check out the album below!
