Originally written in 2021, “Flood Me” was almost reworked entirely when David felt called back into music after stepping away in 2022. However, the Holy Spirit convicted him to keep the lyrics as they were—a testament to God’s power in bringing transformation through trials. Reflecting on his journey, David shares, “Jesus spoke into my life, saying, ‘Look at where you were and where you are now—there is victory through all the hurt and pain. Don’t brush that under the rug. Others need to see victory too!’”
