Hey there, and welcome back to round four of my new “completely professional” drive-thru of the previous week’s top releases and music videos. This time I mixed the songs and videos together, you’ll soon pick-up on why! I humbly apologise in advance…(not really!). Right, let’s get the wheels on the road…
Top Releases & Videos
jumpin’ us off to a hot start, the H3nry Thr!ll revamped version of the gio. and LOGE original. Got ears? Hop in for a Thr!ll ride…
(the fact gio also has a song called grand prix! is amusing me right now…you could almost say it fits the role…ok, I’ll stop now!1)
V. Rose just swagged out Oh Holy Night…
It’s about to get ugly out here if I don’t stop with the car themed intros isn’t it? OK, well strap in! Let this new joint from WLDHRT and MIZZI kick start your engines…
It’s time to Celebrate, there’s no mention of cars in this intro to this catchy joint from Nu Tone, Kidd Lee, Tds Cam…oh wait….
Ok Ok Ok I’m detecting NO LOVE for the car intros so I’ll pump the brakes…soon! Here’s the Limoblaze refit, I mean remix, of Jon Keith & Annatoria’s original banger. These intros are writing themselves!
Man I COME ALIVE when good Christian music and wordplay mischief collide (hehehe!). Maybe “I’m addicted to danger” like Dorothy…
I’m just gonna chuck the keys to the valet Von Won and his Tippin Flow video to take care of the car content for me this time…
Anyone got a sat nav so I can find my way back home? Manafest? Kendra Dantes? anyone…?
Sorry Judge & Jury (& executioner?!), I just can’t help it, I just feel pure Euphoria whenever Trevor McNevan’s vocals are back pumping into my eardrums. Guilty as charged…
What’s that? there was no car content?
You clearly haven’t watched this insta reel promoting the song then…Ha! Gotcha!
Hold up Phathom, Datin, Canibus, KXNG Crooked, Chino XL and Monster Tarver, there seems to be no car here either. Oh wait, there’s a bus, that’ll do! Let the War Games begin…
(That cover art by Outr.cty is sick!)
Uh oh, there’s a (chequered) flag on the play…Derek Minor’s Resist(ing) The System on his new EP…
Have I pumped the brakes on the car puns? Well, Jackie Hill Perry, that’s TBD…
Steven Malcolm and Mike Teezy are driving stick…and move!
Trulah’s racing to be in the Shadow of God’s Wings in this beautiful acoustic rendition
Silent Night? Olivia Lane must drive an electric car then…
If you’re reading this car-hismatic nonsense and thinking “I’m Falling for You”, holler at me via the Insta link in my bio below! Talk about pimping my ride…cheers Adriel Cruz haha!
Ok, genuinely, I apologize! On to a couple of serious songs to finish off. First up, Sidewalk Prophets with a beautifully honest song…
Close to giving in? Sounds like you could use a lil Church now (and a dollop of TobyMac too!).2
The “I Missed This Last Week” Spot
I missed this BIGroom joint last week…BIG error! I Thank God I’ve now found this sweet Reyer Remix of the Maverick City Music original ft. Gideon Luciana! This is good gear!
The “Fast Lane” News Spot
There are just 34 hours left at time of writing to back KJ-52 and Marty’s “Things are going great! Deluxe Edition” Kickstart-er. Go on, shift into gear, step on it and come in clutch to help that total accelerate down the finishing straight.
The Dude Perfect Spot
They say you learn something new every day. Well today I learned never to invite Dude Perfect to my birthday party… (but, yes, I’ll try some of that cake at 6ish mins too!). And, yes, it features cars…
The Parking Spot3
And that’s the end of the road for this week! I hope I haven’t tyred you out or driven you all completely round the bend with that drive-thru of last week’s new releases. And, yes, I really enjoyed writing this!
What were you digging from the week ending December 6th? Let me know below, I always want to find new music!
I’m going to take a “brake” now until after Christmas and New Year, before tread-ing carefully into 2025’s releases.
You can see all of the last two week’s new releases in our list here, and all of the new videos here.
See y’all after Christmas. Keep groovin’, Merry Christmas, and God bless!
