Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch teamed up with Judge & Jury to drop the single “Euphoria”. Check out the lyric video below. I cannot get enough of this song; I’ve already listened to it a couple dozen times. This song has quite the number of noteworthy credits who were involved in making this song a reality. With names including but not limited to, Trevor McNevan, Howard Benson, Neil Sanderson, Joe Rickard, and Lester Estelle. Hearing them talk and also listening to the song, here is my takeaway; When we are trying to achieve a dream or doing anything in this life, sometimes taking a step forward can make us feel like it’s a step or two backward. It’s easy not to feel up to the challenge, as if we are letting ourselves and others down with each new “rung” we strive for. Part of this fear comes from the need to hold on to it. It can be easy to let what we care about, the things in which we are striving for, become an idol and obsession. But we shouldn’t let fear or the lies we tell ourselves paralyze us, rather we need to let God replace the fear and the lies with the truth. God is in control, He knows our struggles, our hopes, and our dreams. Even better, He knows what is best for us. If God is in it, trust it will happen. And like they said in the live, in the midst of what we do, we need to make sure we create balance. (I’m trying to work on the balance thing still myself!)
Heal the Hurt dropped a lyric video for “Forgiving The Sickness”. Check it out below! “There’s only one cure for the hate. Speak love or seal your fate. I won’t go down in flames. I’ve said it a few times, but I appreciate their willingness to be vulnerable and to touch on subjects that not a lot of people sing about. I think we all know people, be it family or a friend, who we want to help but those same people are determined to bring themselves down and take others down with them. Sometimes what is best in the situation is forgiving what needs forgiving and then moving on from the situation. Thanks for the lyric video, guys!
