Singer/Songwriter Regina Vandereijk, originally from the mountains of North Carolina and currently residing in Gouda, Netherlands, released the EP, ‘Love Called Her Home,’ on September 20, 2024. Her musical style is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Southern Appalachians, drawing from folk, gospel, blues, and country genres.
Her music is inspired by the Bible and personal experiences with God. Each song is a reflection of the command in Ephesians 5:19 to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to communicate through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. The EP aims to encourage believers and facilitate spiritual growth, serving as a tool to lead others to encounter Jesus and find solace in their faith.
“Love Called Her Home” is a 4-song EP that tells the story of struggles with shame and fear, repentance and forgiveness of sins, baptism, finding true freedom in Jesus Christ, victory in His life, death, and resurrection through the Holy Spirit, and the ultimate hope of Christ’s return.
Regina’s devotion to her craft stems from her upbringing in a large family of artists, where she engaged in a wide array of artistic and athletic pursuits. Her experiences, coupled with her faith, have shaped her music and its ability to resonate with audiences.
In addition to the musical releases, Regina has accompanied each song with a corresponding devotional, providing further insight into the Biblical inspirations behind her work. Her artistic endeavor extends beyond mere entertainment, seeking to engage with audiences on a deeper level. Her music, accompanied by textual inspirations, serves to guide listeners in their quest for understanding biblical truths.
