We’ll start with a simple truth. Dorothy’s music flat out rocks. You could set her music to a video of paint drying and I’d still include it here (don’t do that though, her music deserves better than that!). Like your rock with a little swag to it? Actually, scratch that, with A LOT of swag to it? You’ll love this.
It’s time for a funpop. gio & Henrik join forces for what can only be described as pop that’s fun to listen to and especially watch in this case; aka a funpop. Now gets to licking this up!
678NATH is Back N Better “with a plan”. Don’t just take my word for it though, take his…(that bass is delicious!)
Here’s another simple truth. Anne Wilson is one of my favourite artists right now (shhh don’t tell my teenage self his future adult self loves some country music!). Her music is filled to the brim with authenticity, creativity, intensity, and, most importantly, the holy spirit! That is everything I’m looking for in my music nowadays! And talking of things filled to the brim, here’s the live performance of “Songs About Whiskey”…
Need more music with real meaning, purpose and authenticity? Join Dax on the Lonely Dirt Road…(and, yes, placing this after talking about country music was very intentional!)
Tom & Jerry looks a lot different to what I used to love watching in my childhood! But nothing about this is cartoonish, this track and subject matter is TOOOOUGH! I LOVE THIS!
Speaking of things I love…Anberlin, check…Matty Mullins, check…Anberlin with Matty Mullins, double check. Ok I fold, no matter how the stakes I’m all in on this Matty Mullins era of Anberlin. And if you’ve clocked the five poker terms in this intro, you’ve got the Full House.
Here’s a collaboration I didn’t know I needed, and that message? C’mon now! We all need that! Really soak this message in and reflect on it.
Terrian’s really found her groove lately and No Body can tell me different! I’m picking up some TobyMac “Boomin” vibes at points here…
We need some more CHH here…hmm…hey Jackie Lee Perry, mind Picking Up the slack here?
Skillet are back baaaaby! They continue to get stronger with each release since they became an indie band again. Here’s the 2rd single, Ash In The Wind.
This might be one of the most beautiful portrayals of grief and coming to faith through it I’ve seen for a long while. For anyone who’s lost someone close to them this may be a tough watch so have some tissues at hand.
Haste The Day have returned on fire! (fire…burn…fire…burn…I’m gonna need you to get on board with me here, this is my level of intros and they won’t change!)
Want something even heavier? CULTIST have your backs…do you have theirs?
I’m never ready for Christmas music until a week or so before Christmas but if you’re a sociopath who listens to it in October then here’s a beautiful worship *cough Christmas cough* song from Matt Redman.
We’ll end my pick of this week’s videos in a really appropriate way, with David Leonard’s “Just Jesus.” This is the kind of worship music I can get fully behind. This is authentic worship. This is beautiful.
