Hey rockers and welcome to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.
Manafest dropped his new single “Down To Business”. And man, is the beat sick or what?? I feel like I could put this on repeat 50 times and head bop to it the entire time. Check it out below!
These Beautiful Ruins is set to record new music; They are asking for donations to help with the cost. Check out their post about that here. Please prayfully consider donating, as well as supporting them in other ways as well! As someone who feels like I never have enough time to talk to everyone at music festivals, especially at KCF….both Matthew and Kristen make it a point to give me a smile and warm greetings in the midst of my personal chaos. They are both such genuine people and I’m so excited for new tunes!

David Pataconi‘s side project “Turn In Line” is releasing “Robot Rock” on August 30th. Check out the teaser about that here.

Halcyon Wander is dropping their newest single “Painted Red” tomorrow, 8.13.24. Check out their post about that here. Painted Red will be off of their upcoming EP “The One You Loved is Gone” out on October 15.

Dorothy released “Mud”, and you check out the lyric video below. Let’s go!!
Remedy Drive newest release “Scars” just dropped. Check it out below! “You’ve got my love and you can’t lose it. I’ve got the scars, the scars to prove it.”
Skillet dropped their music video for brand-new song “Unpopular”. Unpopular is on the upcoming album “Revolution” out on November 1st. Skillet was the first band I fell in love with and the reason why I am where I am today. They will always hold a special place in my heart. With that said, I was ready for a change from them, and I think leaving Atlantic Records is going to do that. What unpopular touches on is no surprise to Panheads who keep up with the Cooper Stuff Podcast. I’m obsessed with the verses in this song, although I think the chorus is a little too similar to many of their other songs. But overall, I was very impressed with the song, and it makes me look forward to new tunes from them while being independent! Some of my favorite lyrics include “If thinkin’ for myself is called raisin’ hell, I guess that I’m an outlaw, woo.” and “If freedom is disease, who would ever want to be popular?”. Check out the music video below! (I love how they incorporate quotes from haters in the beginning and on the screen throughout the video)
Throwback song of the week is “Standing in the Storm” by Skillet. By far my favorite song by Skillet after the comatose era.
That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
