Hey rockers and welcome to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.
Caleb Hyles with featured artist Trevor McNevan just dropped a music video for their single “Unparalyzed”. Check it out below! If you haven’t checked out the press release for the single yet, you can do so here! In the last roundup I mentioned some of my favorite lyrics of the song. In this one I will mention Trevor’s portion. “It’s all a dream, the in-between. Bounds are broke like figurines. Bust the seams, twist the schemes. Silent screams of imagining”. These lyrics (especially bust the seams, twist the schemes) just “felt” like Trevor, like something you would hear from him in TFK. (which is a band I’ve loved since I was 14!) I was ecstatic that he got to be part of this song. Like the other features, Caleb knows who would complement his voice, the song, and the message. Check out this really cool music video for it below! I would totally play this if this was a video game. (Any fellow gamers out there? LMK!)
Autumn Eve Music is dropping “Make You Mad” on July 26th. Check out her post about that here!
Divided Me shared they just finished recording their EP. In said post there may be a photo of the band with the one and only Zahna. Hmmm, wonder what that could mean? Check out the post here!
Behold The Beloved announced their drop date for their single “Power Play” will be on August 1st, along with a music video for it. Check out the teasers for it here and here! You won’t want to miss this!
Drive Thru Society will be dropping a single+ a music video. No release date as of yet but check out their post about it here! I’m excited to watch the music video! If you don’t know the names Adrienne Beacco and Jake Jones of Exceleration Media, you should! They have done more than a few of the band photoshoots and music videos from these roundups. (Also, Jake is from We As Human/As We Ascend)
November Sky dropped their latest single “Hide My Soul”. This song definitely hits different. Check it out below! <3
Convictions just dropped new single “The Coastal Glow” and music video for said single. It’s hard to figure out which goes harder, the video or the song. I couldn’t stop laughing while watching the video. It definitely captures the lightheartedness of the metal scene. I loved how there was a cameo of Sonny of POD and that they put Mike’s dad on top of a bunch of people’s bodies. 10 out of 10 would recommend watching! But going back and listening to the lyrics, it’s a lot more serious than the music video. The lyrics mentions how we let pride and perception keep us isolated from getting help when we need it. The end of the song brings our struggles back to God. “I accept my mistakes, I surrender control. Beneath the waves, God, I see your face. Wash over me and renew my faith. I will find solace, fulfill your promise, I am free.”. Check out The Coastal Glow’s music video below!
Throwback song of the week is Feed The Machine by RED. Fun fact, my very good friend Jim is the guy in the black shirt with the blank face coming out of the machine at 3:35. He’s been a huge REDHead for many years. Check out the music video below!
That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
