Rock News Roundup 193

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Thousand Foot Krutch dropped their latest reignited song, “Be Somebody” featuring Citizen Soldier. Check it out below!

Fight The Fade premiered a lyric video for their brand-new song, “Eye of the Hurricane”. In the description of the video it says “”Eye Of The Hurricane” serves as a rallying cry for the defiant and the determined. The song’s lyrics speak to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity, urging listeners to find their strength and rise above the chaos.” Check it out below! Thanks for the new tunes FTF! <3

Nick de Partee (formerly of Kutless) announced a new music project he’s been putting together under the name of Lo Cloud with Matt Hammitt and Jacob Rye (both formerly of Sanctus Real). Check out his post about that here! Lo Cloud is already in the finishing stages of some songs. I can’t wait to check them out!

Speaking of someone from Kutless, Parrish just dropped his latest single “I’m Alright” along with an epic lyric/music video. Check it out below! You can also check out the press release about it here. “This world brought me to my knees. I’m proud to say now I’m standing on my feet”. It’s good to think about how far we have come and what the people who are no longer with us would think about it. (Also Nate, I hope this makes up for that other platform! We stand with you! *thumbs up emoji *sunglasses emoji *heart emoji)

Dead Set Saints just dropped the lyric video for “Live Like I Believe” featuring Kevin Young of Disciple. “I’m out of touch. Lost sight of the way back home.” “You deserve my all, too long have I hesitated. Today, gonna live like I believe”. I think this is a great message, and it’s important to understand that having head knowledge isn’t the same as living it out. As Christians we need to recognize when we are letting things get in the way of living out our faith. All around it’s a fantastic song with great lyrics, vocals, and instrumentals. I’m adding this song to my playlist!

Red Letter Rising announced some sad news for the fans (but a congratulations to David and his family). RLR will no longer be a band, although there will be a final album. Lead singer David Bean and his wife are having a baby, and he feels called to make that his focus now. You can read the full post about that here. Sad to see you go David, but I’m so happy for you and your wife, congratulations!

Red Letter Rising Address Depression With 'Better Days'

Allissa dropped new single “Wake Up”! Check out the lyric video for it below. “You did it, won’t admit it, so you lie. Cover up the truth, a holy disguise. Living in the dark, hiding from the light. It all comes out tonight.”

Heal The Hurt surprised the Christian Metal community this past Thursday by coming out of nowhere and dropping their debut single “Withering”. Check out their press release here. Trevor Tyson and Jarob Bramlett are both very dear friends to the music community, Jesuswired, and me. Both men truly care about people, and they have a gift for encouragement. I’m looking forward to getting to know Alec Gregory as well and taking pictures of all three of them hopefully at a show in the future! Readers, I hope this song helps you to know you are not the only one who feels the way you do, and what you feel in this moment won’t last forever. Don’t wither away alone! Thanks, Trevor, for your vulnerability of stepping into your role as a singer and for sharing your heart/your struggles with us. <3

Throwback song of the week is one of my fav songs by Demon Hunter “I Will Fail You”.

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
