Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

We Love Christian Music Awards just had their annual show for this year. Two of their categories were for rock/alt song of the year and music video of the year. Lacey Sturm won the rock song of the year award for their song “Reconcile” and Skillet won the music video of the year award for their song “Psycho in my Head”. Check out the entire awards show below. (You can also go to the description of the video to show you the timestamps of the different awards) Congratulations to both Lacey Sturm and Skillet, they both deserve their wins!

Uprise Festival just dropped their first band announcement for this year. Seventh Day Slumber is coming to Uprise 2024. As I (Katie Slater) live on the East Coast, Uprise Festival has become one of my favorite annual music festivals I go to. Last year they went rock heavy, and this first announcement gives me hope it will be this year as well. Let’s go!!

Mourning Eve announced that Sean Violet has stepped into the role of their drummer alongside his screaming vocals. Check out the post about that here and a video of him drumming in the parking lot/getting stopped by a metalhead lady here! Congratulations Sean for the new position in the band.

Thousand Foot Krutch is continuing their collab with artists by remaking their old songs. This time TFK is doing a new version of their song “Be Somebody”. They have yet to announce who is featured on this one, so we will have to wait and see! The song is dropping this Friday!  Check out the teaser for it here!

Strength Betrayed just dropped a lyric video for their song “Bleed”. Check it out below! “When you look me straight in the eyes. Do you notice me when I stand before you.”

Dead Set Saints is dropping new single “Live Like I Believe”. As if a new single wasn’t cool enough, the single also features Kevin Young of Disciple! Check out their post about that here and pre-save here. Live Like I Believe comes out this Friday!

Manafest dropped his newest single “Here I Am”. Check it out below!

Memphis May Fire just dropped a music video for Chaotic. My favorite part is “Addicted to distraction. The chemical reaction. You’ve only seen a fraction . This is my mind in action.”  Check it out below!

Throwback song of the week is “Young Diaries” by Ilia. You may recognize the singer as being Zahna! This was when she used to be part of a band. Check out the music video below.

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
