Rock News Roundup 184

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Behold The Beloved created a post about their upcoming single “Toxic Lullabies” and the meaning behind the song being about false prophets. They mentioned they will be sharing examples of that this week. Check out their post about that here! Toxic Lullabies comes out on February 22nd. Check it out when it drops!

Where Were We Again dropped a new podcast episode. This episode features the amazing Mary Nikkel. There are a handful of people I would name drop as being the glue that holds the behind the scenes of the current Christian Rock community together, and she is one of them. For the last several years I’ve been in awe of who she is as a professional and as an individual. This episode pushes that to the forefront of how she has overcome so much and is so passionate about the genre. Check out the post about it here and tune in to the podcast!

Disciple dropped their “Promise To Live” live music video. The video makes me nostalgic for last year’s winter jam. Joel Burris did a fantastic job with the videography (as always). The overlay of the various scenes looks gorgeous and fits so well together. If you are unaware of the meaning of this song, it’s in the title. It’s for those who are struggling in this life who may wonder if it’s even worth living. This song personally came at a very crucial moment in my own life, as it did for many others. Check out the music video below!

David Pataconi covered Circle of Dust’s song “Outside In”. I had never heard the song until now, but it’s a great song and David did a fantastic job on this cover of it! Lyrics that caught my eye; “Father have mercy on your son. Always bring me home again. However far I’ve run. Father grant wisdom for within. So I no longer have to be on the outside looking in”. Check out the cover below!

Manafest had a legendary team up with Caleb Hyles. Manafest is featured on Caleb’s newest single “Never Back Down”. Check out this epic mashup below!

The throwback song of the week is going to be a little different this week than normal. It’s “Crushing Snakes” by Crowder. This animation music video that Crowder did is one of the most metal things I’ve seen to date. Between the song itself and the video, I feel ready for anything Satan throws at me. Check it out below!

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
