Rock News Roundup 175

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Skillet had a special guest at one of their most recent shows on their latest tour. Joey West of Disciple showed up at their South Carolina show and drummed for them during their song “Hero”. If you’ve been to a Skillet show recently, you know Jen Ledger comes out from her drums during that song to sing her parts in it. Check out a video of this special appearance of Joey below shared by a fan’s channel “Scott Lawson”. You can also check out the rehearsal for the song here! This is such an epic collab and Joey is such an phenomenal drummer. Congrats dude and you did amazing!

Manafest dropped a music video for his song “Back of a Church”. With lyrics such as “Where my story turned. Where my prayer was heard. At the back of a church. Where wanderers search. For something that works” it’s a call to the downtrodden, the lost, the broken. Check it out below!

boiling point dropped the Christmas song “What Child Is This? (I Have No Gift)”. Check it out below!

Project 86 is about to drop the music video for “Ultraviolet” tonight at midnight PST. Check out the teaser for that below!

Flyleaf will be at Sonic Temple Festival in 2024! Along with Flyleaf, POD and August Burns Red will also be playing the secular festival. If you missed out on seeing Flyleaf this year, you should check them out at this or Rockville in 2024!

War of Ages dropped a music video for “Famine”. Check it out below and get ready to headbang!

Gable Price and Friends brings us a much softer song than the above, but with a very much needed message/conviction. With lyrics such as “I know I shouldn’t read about. The things that never bring about peace”, the song takes a look at our inner workings and all of the things we let cause us to be anxious. Check out the music video for “I Love to Struggle” below.

Throwback song of the week is “Beautiful Ashes” by Eowyn. I had the pleasure of meeting her once at her own church where she sings. Check out Beautiful Ashes below!

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
