Rock News Roundup 165

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Halcyon Wander dropped their latest single “You’re All That Matters”. Take a listen below or on whatever platform you use! <3

Switchfoot shared the Jonas Brothers version of “The Beautiful Letdown”. My teen self would be screaming right now about the collision of Jonas Brothers singing a Switchfoot song.  Check it out below!

Magdalene Rose shared a video of her explaining what “A Bad Residential” is about. Check it out here! A Bad Residential (featuring Spencer Chamberain of Underoath) comes out this Friday.

Rusty Shipp released a music video for their song “Living Waters”. Check it out below!

RED released a teaser video with the numbers 1888 and the date 8/29 (tomorrow). Whatever it is, make sure to check it out when it drops! See the teaser here

RED Releases First Studio Album In Three Years, RATED R, Sept 29; SiriusXM Octane Premiered Lead Single, “Surrogates,” Available Everywhere Today

Blue Ridge Rock Festival dropped their daily schedule set times for each band. Check out the full schedule here! Blue Ridge Rock Festival is held at the Virginia National Raceway in Alton, VA.

I can officially annouce that JesusWired will be covering this festival, and I cannot wait to see Flyleaf and Memphis May Fire, as well as some mainstream rock acts like Evanescence, 3 Days Grace, and Shinedown, among a few others. As many of you know, Flyleaf had been broken up for a while until this year and Lacey Sturm has her own project, so seeing Flyleaf at this festival is an opportunity I never thought I would have. This is where I would say “buy your tickets here”, but the festival has officially sold out! It’s incredible, especially as someone who has seen this festival grow so much over the last few years. Make sure to be on the lookout for the coverage I will share within the next month or two.

The throwback song of the week is smile by GFM. It’s my favorite song by them, and I feel it is so relatable. I’ve been told to smile so many times in my life. Check it out below!

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
