Rock News Roundup 157

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

RED has announced that their album “Rated R” will be released on September 29th. Their first single off the album called “Surrogates” is set to be released on August 4th. Check out their post about the album here!

Allissa is coming out with her new single “Walls” on July 21st. Check out her post about that here and follow her on her socials to check it out when it drops!

The Way of Cain released their song “Like a Thief”. You can read more about that here and watch the lyric video for the song below! I love that the ending is a straight scripture reading. Be zealous for Jesus!!

Project 86 dropped their music video for their song “When the Belfry Speaks”. And as to be expected, the imagery for the song is haunting, and so well done! Check it out below and prepare for a crazy, dark, imaginative ride.

Skillet was on Fox and Friends a few days ago as part of the All American Summer Concert Series the news network puts on. Check out Skillet on the show performing “Psycho in My Head” here! You can also buy/listen to Psycho in My Head live version on any streaming platform. (Photo Credit by the amazing Evan Smith)

Flyleaf has shared their video of Chapter 2 of coming back together and what that looks like, Check it out below! (Man, it still feels surreal to see them back!!)

Memphis May Fire released a music video for their song “Misery”. (Misery is my favorite song of theirs to date!) Check out the video below. As a concert photographer I immediately feel as if I’m seeing this video through the lens of my camera at a live show, with all the stage light colors. (Which by the way, it’s a lot harder to photograph those lights than one would think) This is a wonderful visual of color for a masterpiece of a song!

My throwback song of the week is a song from a band I actually haven’t listened to in a few years. The song is “Zombie” by We As Human and it features John Cooper of Skillet. With the break-up of the band in 2016, I felt torn up because I love their music so much. Recently two members did a podcast episode together (hit up Digital Resistance Podcast when you have the time!) and I felt it was time to dig out their music again. Check out the song below. (and the whole album is fire!)

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
