Rock News Roundup 155

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Skillet teased an announcement is taking place tomorrow. Check out their post about it here and text them at +1 (901) 329-3678 to hear the news first!

"SURVIVING THE GAME," New Single from Multi-Platinum Rockers Skillet, Drops September 15

Justin Forshaw of As We Ascend and formerly of We As Human announced on his facebook page that his latest guest on his new podcast “Digital Resistance” will be Justin Cordle (also formerly of We As Human) sometime this week. Check out his post about that here and then go here to check out the new episode when it comes out. Also check his other episodes out as well!

Hello Luna just dropped a music video for their latest single “Sweet And Deranged”. If you haven’t already, check out the article about the single here. You can also check out what Kenzie Coyne of Hello Luna has to say about the meaning of the song here!  I love the visuals in the music video, and the lyrics are fire! You can check out the lyrics in the description, but some of my favorites are “All you did was try to pull me down . And tore apart of me who’s the monster now. I wasted years but I just dug me out, of the hole where you tried to bury me”. Watch the music video below.

Reclaim The Day released their music video for “Say Goodbye”. Say Goodbye is about standing against abuse. Check out their post about it here and watch the music video below! I love that both Reclaim The Day and Hello Luna are willing to be bold when it comes to this issue. You are worthy of love! You are worthy to be safe and whole. Don’t let anyone tell you any different!

Nesdam released a teaser for his latest single “The Hill”. Check out the sneak peak here. I’m excited to hear new tunes from him!

Anberlin dropped the music video for their latest single “Lacerate”. I love the imagery of how some of the people almost look like they are rewinding. They look so graceful and fluid. Check out the music video below! They share the lyrics to the song in the description of the video, so make sure to check that out as well!

Wolves At The Gate released a cover of Twenty-One Pilots song “Heathens”. Check it out below! Anyone else feel like they definitely did the song justice? It’s such a good cover!

This week’s throwback song is “Mercy” by Random Hero. I miss hanging with all these peeps, although I still see Patrick Madsen while he plays with Zahna and hear him sing in his solo project Nesdam. Check out the song below. “Don’t let go until my final breath is Yours”!

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. Just a reminder that this week is Kingdom Come Festival. Please pray for me and everyone else who is traveling for the festival. If any of you show up, please come say hey! (I will be the multi-colored hair photographer running all around) I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
