Disciple releases new album Skeleton Psalms, a story of death resurrected

Rock News Roundup 147

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Magdalene Rose released her new single “Shark Spray”, and it is a very strong first single! I feel some GFM vibes, but it definitely has her own unique sound to it as well. Check it out below! It makes me super excited to watch the music video when it drops. For now, check out the behind the scenes for the music video here!

Forsaken Hero is releasing their new single “Reliable” ft. Neon Feather on April 5th. Along with that they announced that their album is done being recorded and the final mixes are taking place now! Check out their post about that here

Solid Rock Radio‘s newest Monday night segment of “Backstage With Mothership” premiered tonight and it was a recap of the Grizzly Awards ceremony. If you didn’t tune in while it was on air, they will put it up on their website in the “Past Episodes” section. Check out that section here when it gets put up. While you wait for the newest episode, you can also check out all the other past episodes as well! Thanks William Moore and Cindy Blankenship for your amazing contribution to the rock community!

Disciple released their newest single “Bad Words”, and boy is it heavy! I would say one of their heaviest in the last few years for sure. The song itself is about how we won’t apologize about speaking the name Jesus. Some of my favorite lyrics are ” You can ban these bad words, foaming at my mouth, But you can’t censor this sound. Your obscenity is my identity “. Check out Kevin speaking about the song here and headbang to the song below! You can also see the upcoming album “Skeleton Psalms” tracklist here!

Parrish released “I Can’t Be What You Want (Soul Surgery Unplugged)”. I feel as if I am in the same room as him as I watch it. My favorite part of the song is “I can’t be your Jesus on the cross. And I won’t be your mouthpiece for your cause”. Check it out below! If it looks familiar, it was also part of the Grizzly Awards livestream ceremony!

Micah Ariss released his music video for new song “Dying Light”. The lyrics talk about trying to live life through the pain of grief. Check it out below!

Zahna created a live acoustic version of her song “Die For Something” featuring Nesdam for the Grizzly Awards. If you didn’t watch it (which you should have and you can watch it here!) then you can check out the live acoustic video below! It hits different, and this is one of those times I love the acoustic just as much as the original.

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
