It is a song that hopes to reach the dark side of our souls, the skeletons we keep in our closets, the parts of us that we hate, the shame that we hide, the guilt that we continue to carry. It’s singing to whoever gets to listen, but more so to those who feel they have fallen too far to be within the reach of grace and feel they could never be loved. That was us at one point, that could be us at some points at some parts, but for some, that is their currently reality and feel beyond hope. The song is like taking that friend’s hand and leading them to the one who truly Loves.
The song was written by Amy Berry and Mary in 2021. Written over zoom as they live in 2 different countries, 11,000 km apart, Amy in Scotland and Mary in the Philippines. Hope this song brings out the best of 2 cultures & the message of outrageous Love that unconditionally calls out, not to the best of us, but the worst of us. The song hopes to stir and disturb the way we love and direct us to look on to LOVE – outrageous and holy in His ways – to shape how we live and love.
