Old Bear Records artist Ian Zumback released his new number one charting six-track Abeline EP earlier this month. Ian shares about the project, “This body of work was deliberately written in a five to six week period (some of which was finished while recording) to capture an emotional and spiritual moment in my life. It’s a raw and honest entry into my musical catalog.”
He continues about the title track, “Following a difficult end to a relationship, I turn onto Abeline Road to drop my son off and pick him up when visiting his mother over 700 miles away from our home where most of our relationship history happened. Every time I turn on and off Abeline Road, I’m reminded of the history and the unrealized dreams and expectations for family that died with that relationship. Writing the song helped me process my new future and put the past behind me while I move forward.”
