Rock News Roundup 135

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

Seventh Day Slumber announced a new tour called “Surviving the Wasteland” featuring Breathing Theory and Magdalene Rose (formerly of GFM). Check out their post about that here! If you know a promoter who would bring them to your area, they can email Lori at Lo**@Na*****************.com.

The Midnight Wedding shared a couple posts with the title “Not Done Yet”. The first post shared the Christmas date of December 25th. The second post shared what looks to be like some lyrics. What a way to celebrate Christmas! We are so excited to see what they have come up with!

Matt Moore was interviewed by our friends over at Rock 4 Him. Check it out below!

Poetic Descent announced a new single featuring Jason Wisdom will be out on New Year’s Day. Check out the post about that here!

Matty Mullins put out a beyond beautiful rock rendition of the Christmas song “Noel”, originally by Chris Tomlin and Lauren Daigle. If rock bands/artists keep making Christmas covers, I will have to stop being a Grinch about them haha. Great job Matty!

Last week we mentioned there was a hint of a return from As We Ascend? This week we can now confirm they are back! Justin Forshaw sat down with Nick of the podcast “We Are the Body Radio“. In the episode, it was confirmed that they are in the process of making new music! Check it out for yourself on spotify through the post here. Anyone else excited to have these dudes back?

Our latest throwback song will be “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” by Burlap to Cashmere. It’s such a fun, joyful dancing type of song, but with important gospel lyrics. This song brings back so many memories of my older brother driving me around while blasting this out, as well as songs from POD, O.C Supertones, Newsboys, etc.

That ends this week’s (and the final one of the year) rock news roundup! Thank you to everyone who has read these articles. If you had a favorite song or piece of news from this year’s RNR, let me know what it was! And if any of these roundups introduced you to a new band/artist you now love, let me know about that as well! I know for me there have been many new bands I’ve found out about through writing these articles! The newest one is Warrior. <3 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I will see you all back here on my Birthday! (January 9th)
