Rock News Roundup 132

Hey rockers and welcome back to this week’s rock news roundup! Check below to see what your favorite rock artists are up to this week.

GFM has some sobering news, they are putting the band on an indefinite hiatus. (but not gotten rid of per-say!) You can take a look at what Maggie has to say about that here. However, in the sadness there are some cool updates as well. Maggie will now be under the name Magdalene Rose(which will be an updated social platform from GFM’s pages), CJ moved to Nashville in pursuit of other opportunities, and Lulu will be focusing on her streaming podcast under the name Ludawissy. All in all, while it is sad to see this chapter closed at this point in time, I look forward to seeing what God does next in each of the girl’s lives. Thank you, girls, for what you have contributed to the rock scene and bless you on your future endeavors!

Paralandra shared they will be hosting a livestream concert on December 11th. Check out their video with more details here!

Warrior has come out with their newest song “3 Feathers”, and you can check that out below! I get an old school 80’s rock vibe and I absolutely love it! Go here for their other new songs they just recently released! They are a band I will be keeping a close eye on for sure. Keep rocking for Jesus guys!

Aseity‘s Monica Soe (lead singer and only current member) has decided to retire Aseity to make room for a new chapter in her life. However, this isn’t the last you have seen of Monica! Check out her post on that here. We support this decision and cannot wait to see what the future holds! <3

Manafest is dropping his first cover song, and he chose “Crawling” by Linkin Park. This song, and especially this band, means a lot to a lot of people. Manafest writes in his post what many have said and that is “Linkin Park has had a massive impact on me musically over the years.” Check out his video with a teaser of the song here!

Seventh Day Slumber teased about recording new music and guess what? Kellen Mcgregor of Memphis May Fire is part of the process. Check out this epic teaser video about it here!

If you like sales, make sure you check out your favorite’s (The Protest, Disciple, Skillet, The Ranch, among others) socials tonight before you go to bed, especially if you missed out on Friday’s deals. Quite a few have Cyber Monday savings going on with their merch!

We are also starting up something new to end each RNR: I will be giving a throwback of all things rock that holds a special place in my heart. My first week has to be done right and so I give you what I deem to be my number one anthem song to my life. “JesusFreak” by D.C Talk. There is a reason this song has over 8 million views, and why many artists have done covers. The term JesusFreak used to be an insult to Christians back in the 60’s and 70’s, but this song helped many Christians realize that though the world may label us, they cannot stomp out our faith, no matter what they say or do to us.

That ends this week’s rock news roundup. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and may God bless and keep you all!
