Exclusive Premiere: Chris Cron – Christmas, I’m Not Ready from Dream Christmas Vol. 6

Christmas is coming and we’re stoked to bring you this early exclusive premiere of Chris Cron’s Christmas, I’m Not Ready off DREAM Records’ new collaboration album, DREAM Christmas Vol. 6. The album releases this Friday, October 29th, but you can listen to Chris Cron’s song now below, only on JesusWired.

We asked Chris about the song, “This song is called “Christmas, I’m Not Ready” and it’s about slowing down, to not miss the miracle that’s already right there in front of you. I wanted this song to ebb and flow in a more natural way, so I purposefully didn’t record to a click. I also wanted it to be very small and intimate until the moment in the lyric where the miracle is finally seen, so it’s mostly piano and vocal until that point. Then the band kicks in. We had a fall party at our house and I quickly ran a microphone out to the living room and asked everyone to sing the “hallelujah” part. Everyone was in good spirits and I think that translated onto the recording.”
