German-born singer SOFYKA knows what she wants. At merely 20 years old she has committed to a life in God’s hands giving back to the community through her profound songs. His call has taken her to California where she studies at Bethel Church and is part of the worship band.
Inspired by artists like Bethel Music’s own Steffany Gretzinger, Hillsong and even Miley Cyrus & Jon Bellion she embarked on a journey to find the common ground between pouring out her soul and showing her love for God. But not only Jesus lovers but also pop fans will find what their hearts desire.
SOFYKA’s debut single “Zion” tells her personal story. She sings about injustice, about failure & getting back on ones feet again, but above all about the feeling of being able to “flow” as long as you put yourself in God’s hands.
Her sound is different. Young. Embracing. SOFYKA’s voice so captivating. Berlin producer Leif Jørgensson has taken SOFYKA’s piano demos to a new level. The cool mood of their unique songwriting pulsates in every beat.
The young singer manages to keep her voice relaxed and down-to-earth. The songs gain an incredible depth that makes us want to hit the repeat button right away. Her melodies make you dance, love, cry and pray.
This is worship pop brought to the sound of 2021.
