Hey rockers, I’m back! I have to give a shout out to the editor and my boss, Iain Moss. (hey that rhymed!) He filled in for me last minute last week, and in the process, made me laugh hysterically with his comments throughout the article. As he made mention, I was baptized last week by The Protest. They are a great group of dudes, so shout out to them as well! Anyways, without further ado, here is what is going on in the rock world this week!
Disciple‘s (and Honor & Glory‘s) drummer Joey West got engaged to his girlfriend Tabitha. Congratulations you two, I am very excited for the both of you!

Zahna‘s new music video for “Better Run” drops tomorrow! In preparation she shared a video explaining the meaning of the lyrics of the song. Check it out here!

The Grizzly Awards decided to create a new award called the “Arts & Cultural Award”. You can read more information on this award here.

This next piece of news still feels like a dream. The Rockdown Show with Dustin Tatro had an episode that was premiered just a few days ago where he interviewed Mary Nikkel of Rock on Purpose and well….me! You can see the post about that here and listen to the interview here. Thanks Dustin for the opportunity!

Reborn is making an announcement tomorrow evening. Check their post about that here. You can also view their new lyric video for “Deeper Again” below! Very unique and rocking sound if I do say so myself!
Allissa is releasing “Won’t Stay” tonight at midnight. See a killer teaser video about it here!

Labor XII is crowdfunding their debut album “Monsters”. See their post about that here and then go here to crowdfund the album. Check below for a video for more info. They’ll be premiering the music video for their new single Suffocate September 6th.
Jodi Essex is coming out with new song “Offend” on September 10th. This song was produced by Josiah Prince of Disciple, and if that isn’t awesome enough, it’s a song about standing up for your beliefs no matter what. Read more on that here and then pre-save here! This is one I’m really excited for!

And last but certainly never least…..The Protest‘s new EP “Death Stare” is dropping at midnight tonight! I may or may not have wrangled them together long enough to have a sit down with them to talk about the new EP and life stuff while they were at my house. You can check out that interview + behind the scenes of the music video for “Show Up To The Showdown” here! (No one was harmed in the making of this video)

And that’s all for this week! I hope you all have a blessed week and I will see you all back here next week! (Coincidentally as Josh gives a death stare…I’m meaning that in a positive way, not in a “you have to be here or else” way haha)
