“For the past 10 years of my life, it felt like I was always stuck in a Freefall. It took me until after I wrote this song to realize that I never truly felt safe. I was constantly waiting for the bottom to fall out from underneath me. Because as soon as I would let my guard down, it would happen all over again. The betrayal, the hurt, and the disappointment by the people that I was supposed to trust the most. BUT GOD was always at the bottom waiting to catch me when I fell. And He was always above me, ready to lift me back up again. He was constant, He was good, and He was safe. And that’s the only thing that kept me going.
