“I wrote this song during a difficult transition in my life. The imagery of following someone’s footprints into the ocean represents wanting to hold onto something or someone we love, even after it becomes the reason we find ourselves drowning. We are then forced to make a decision to either “Just Keep Walking”, following them deeper into the stormy water, or to let them go and reach for the shore above towards our rescue. I can’t wait for you to listen to the whole song, I really love the lyrics to this one!
