DaeShawn Forrest Overcomes Suicidal Thoughts In “Here to Stay” Music Video
In the year 2020, many people were faced with unforeseen trials and tribulations, and 21-year-old Christian rapper, DaeShawn Forrest, was no exception. Blindsided with an intense wave of anxiety, anger, depression, and, eventually, suicidal thoughts, the young artist vents his pain and frustrations in the music video for his song “Here to Stay”.
“It was the lowest state I’ve ever been in”, states DaeShawn when discussing that season of his life. “I was hit with so many heavy emotions at once. In the heat of the moment, I was just desperate for an instant relief, not even considering the amount of time it takes to heal and grow. More than anything I’m grateful that God kept me during that time because there were a lot of moments where I just wanted to give up. Countless times where life didn’t seem worth living anymore”, states the artist.
“Here to Stay” is the 4th track off of DaeShawn’s latest project called “Transparent”, which was released this past October. This song is available on all platforms.
