The Midnight Wedding has released another new song called Set Me Free, and we’re so glad they did. This beautiful worship song reflects the band’s passion for spreading the hope that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The tune starts with graceful piano and gentle strings which continue throughout the song, giving it a peaceful presence. The peaceful music underscores the message of this song – these days are turbulent and uncertain, and a message of hope and peace is truly needed right now. Thankfully, the peace provided by our Savior never runs out. His love remains steadfast no matter what, and He is more than capable of taking on the burdens that weigh us down. All we need to do is lay those burdens at His feet. As the chorus of the song declares, Jesus has set us free, and His love is all that we need. Part way through the song, a soaring guitar solo wonderfully sets up a powerful bridge which proclaims the curse of death has been broken and cannot hold us.
“Set Me Free” features guest vocals from Dawn Michele of Fireflight, whose voice is a perfect complement to Caitlin Trlak. Co-written by Trlak and Josiah Prince of Disciple, this song is a great addition to the band’s catalog. The Midnight Wedding will be releasing another new song on Friday in anticipation of their full-length album set to be released next year.
