At the height of his rebellion, God sent a mighty storm that would soon wreck the ship Jonah was aboard. The Captain and his men became aware of his fleeing and asked he throw himself overboard. In the same way that “waves” were sent to disrupt Jonah’s selfish path, God has intervened in my life.

Through the constant storms that occur, I always find myself falling back on who I trust the most, Jesus. Even when I forget about him during hardships, He never forgets about me. Waves tells the chronological story of Jonah while simultaneously dripping personal references. I am continually praying for God to destroy my idols and call me back to Him.
