Yesterday marked the end of national suicide prevention month but before it ended Rachael Nemiroff released her cover of The Fray’s How To Save A Life. Rachael had the following to say…
September is National Suicide Prevention Month and I wanted to cover a song that connected with this topic that is close to my heart. I still don’t think I have the “best” words when talking about this. I just wanted to bring awareness to it because a lot of people are hurting right now and feeling very lonely as well as being isolated. A simple “How are you really doing?” or sitting with someone in their pain/grief can make a difference. My heart aches and grieves with anyone who has lost someone close to them through this and anyone who is contemplating ending their life.

The deepest and darkest pain you are feeling right now is real, and I want you to know you are not alone though it might feel like it right now. God sees you. He sees the pain, the depression, the injustice you went through, the heartbreak, the losses, all of it. And yet somehow hope is still here and alive. You have a purpose here on this earth.
You are worth living for. Rachael
PS. If you need to talk to someone there is a 24/7 lifeline that provides free and confidential support you can reach out to 800-273-8255. You are not alone.
