Lacey Sturm: Reflect Love Back

Rock News Roundup 2

Hey all, we are back with part 2 of our rock news roundup for this week!

First up in our roundup is the band Skillet. Skillet’s John Cooper gave us an acoustic live version of their song “Anchor”, with fellow band-mate and wife Korey Cooper on the piano. I believe it is a beautiful rendition of “Anchor”, and a much needed reminder of Hebrews 6:19 during this time, to know that God is our hope and the one who steadies us in all circumstances.

"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast…" Hebrews 6:19 I hope everyone is safe! Have hope and hold tight #anchor

Second in the roundup is the band Random Hero.
Random Hero just dropped an Acoustic EP for their Tension album. The acoustic songs on this EP include “Motivation”, “So Close”, “Outgrown”, and “Tension”. My personal favorite on this album is Outgrown. You can check it out and buy it here!

Third in the roundup is Reflect Love Back.
Reflect Love Back’s Lacey Sturm has just recently started doing a overview of the Bible, book by book. Check out the overview of Genesis below! You can also check out other Bible book overviews on the Reflect Love Back facebook page here. I personally think this is a great resource for helping an individual to learn the Bible.

Fourth in the round up is the artist Manafest.
Manafest has started a new radio show called “Fighter Radio” every Friday night at 6:00 pm EST on Effect Radio. What better time to hear some new music and to be reminded that we are all fighters? You can visit Effect Radio’s website here for full station listings.

The fifth roundup is the band Switchfoot.
Jon Foreman of Switchfoot has used this time of social distancing during the coronavirus to perform acoustic songs. The first one is “Hope is a Anthem”. Man this song pulls on my heartstrings. We can be reminded that through the trials and tribulations we now face, there is still hope that can be found, and we will get through this!

Jon Foreman starts this second video off by talking about how the coronavirus has affected California and urges everyone to stay safe. The song he then sings, “Let Your Love Be Strong”, I think is a reminder to all of us that no matter what ugliness we see in the world, we can choose to let love make us whole.

And finally, for our sixth and final rock news roundup, Grizzly Awards nominee Paralandra has a really epic new music video called “Love Will Win”! I cannot believe how much the lyrics for this go perfectly with the depictions. And yes, the truth always comes to light eventually, and love will always win over hate and fear in the end.

And that wraps up our rock news roundup for this week! Thank you for tuning in! Come back next week for more news roundups.
