LZ7 Start Supply Drop – Free Songs Every Friday Through Quarantine
Anyone in need of a Supply Drop? LZ7 have your backs…
It’s a mad time in the world right now as we try to learn about and contain the coronavirus and, to use the word everyone’s using, it’s unprecedented. We don’t really know what the next few months or beyond hold for any of us, our livelihoods are under threat, we’re having to learn how to home school and keep kids entertained all day and the entire world is about to get a much deeper appreciation for those of us who struggle with our mental health and what that looks and feels like. It’s a scary and seemingly dark world right now but fear not, Manchester, UK based record label LIGHT are fittingly stepping up to the plate to offer some light.
LIGHT’s slogan reads, “LIGHT IS A FAMILY OF ARTISTS AND RECORD LABEL USING MUSIC TO IMPACT YOUNG PEOPLE WITH A POSITIVE MESSAGE IN AN OFTEN DARK WORLD.” If that slogan isn’t a perfect fit for right now, I don’t know what is! LIGHT are best known to be the home of EDM band LZ7 who supported Jason Derulo on his recent world tour and it’s them who are offering some LIGHT in the dark.
Lindz, the frontman of LZ7, is doing a daily instagram live called Cabin Fever at 7.30pm GMT (2.30 CST or 1.30 CST after Sunday 29th) to check in with everyone, play some music, give away some t-shirts, and encourage everyone to have the courage to overcome our fear with our faith. As he quotes regularly 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
That’s not all they’re doing though. Every Friday after their Instagram live they’re delivering a “Supply Drop” of a free unreleased track to offer some LIGHT relief in these scary times. Hear the first track and find out how to download all this free music below.
So as the world adds social distancing, quarantine and lockdown into their everyday language (and works out how to use all the toilet paper they’ve hoarded!), add some light into your weekly lives with some heavy bangers from LZ7/LIGHT.
Here’s the first track featuring Lindz’s son and wife, We Think It’s Cool (and that’s both our opinion and its name!).
