The Eccentric Sheep Musings: Nothing Can Separate Us
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Romans 8: 35-39)
Have you REALLY sat down and thought about just how many things can’t separate you from the love of God?
It’s more than just a wall or building hindering a view of something. No force on the earth, the universe, or the heavens can separate you from the love of God. Nothing to ever exist could ever separate you from the steadfast and unfailing love of God.
Nothing you go through will separate you. Whether you have an easy rich life or a poor life filled with struggles, God’s love is there. No matter what you face here on earth, God’s love is there. Death itself can’t separate you from it. No angel or demon has enough power to involuntarily separate you from it. No power or person on earth can separate you from it. Nothing can involuntarily take it away.
Only your voluntary rejection of it can keep it from you. Even then, God’s love is still all around you eagerly awaiting your calling and desire of it until you leave this earth. God’s love is still near you even when you push it away. It still finds you through the kindness of others even if you reject it. So I guess in a way, while you are here on earth, not even you can separate yourself from it in a way then.
So as a new year begins, know that God’s powerful and amazing love will always be with you no matter what.
