Poetic Descent’s Jared Lacey got to share a small stage with Michael Tait of The Newsboys/ DC Talk back in September.
During karaoke, Jared was singing “Supernatural” from DC Talk, when all of a sudden, the legendary Michael Tait decides to join in.
Evidently the Newsboys were hanging at a local establishment in Troy, Ohio when Bryan Kemper (of Stand True Pro Life fame) decides to let Jared know they’re in town for a show at Hobart Arena (Sept. 12th)
This was a great moment of alternative metal, and CCM/ Contemporary genres uniting in a social setting. This year seems to be a great year for hard rock, and for Jared Lacey, one of the greatest moments of his life. Jared grew up listening to DC Talk, and they have been an inspiration for his constant pursuit in music!
The question is; Did Michael Tait know that he was singing with one of the most energetic, and passionate vocalists in alternative metal?!
