“Hope” is a song that was birthed from a place of brokenness.
It was created after an afternoon of seeing a young man stand at the top of a bridge in Vancouver wrestle with the decision to not jump off. It was created after passing through the crowded streets of East Hastings and seeing people (like you and I,) so broken and filled with nothing else but a desire to get off the streets but can’t because they just don’t know how. “I remember waiting for the next bus and seeing another ambulance drive down the street to pick up another person that overdosed on drugs”. This is the world we live in.
This song is meant to describe how possible it is to put our hope in anything. However, what really gives life, is putting our hope in the one that made ALL life. It’s a catchy up beat song that will keep you jumping and happy simply because life was not designed to be lived alone and dragged, but in community with God at the center.
