On the back of his latest project, last year’s The Story Of Jordan James EP, and its lead single ‘Lose Control’ which was released last summer to rave reviews and support from the likes of Clash Magazine, ILUVLIVE and Rapzilla, MOBO Award nominated London rapper and vocalist J VESSEL is proud to unveil his brand new single titled ‘Ain’t Like Them’. The track is taken from the follow-up to last year’s project, and his forthcoming EP titled The Story Of Jordan James 2, due for release later this year.

Produced by long time collaborator and MOBO Award-winning musician and producer Victizzle, who has previously worked with the likes of Stormzy, Guvna B, Ms. Banks, and Chip, ‘Ain’t Like Them’ is an infectious bass-heavy UK rap offering, which sees J Vessel at his very best, led by his captivating rap flow, lush melodies, and a catchy sing-along chorus you won’t forget anytime soon, as he waxes lyrical about not conforming to today’s societal standards, going against the status quo, and living life differently.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Ain’t Like Them’, J Vessel says, “We’re all battling for acceptance from other people, and always trying to fit in here or there, but this song is the antithesis to that – it is an anthem for anyone who wants to live differently from what the status quo demands. The song was birthed out of a frustration of having to fit into society, and it is essentially me saying no to that! It’s ok to different, we’re going to live life our way, and on our own terms”.
