Ten Three Records recording artist Orlando Rodriguez will be performing in concert, along with special guest artist, Watchmane, on the NorthPointe Christian High School campus, located at 3101 N. Leonard St. NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. ET. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.
In addition to the concert, the eclectic and pioneering singer/songwriter and speaker will be the featured artist during NorthPointe Christian School’s Spiritual Emphasis Week from Monday, March 6 through Friday, March 10. During the week, Rodriguez will be teaming up with former Philadelphia Eagles fullback Kevin Clemens to present a timely message for the students called “The Game Changer.”
“I’m thrilled to be returning to NorthPointe Christian School for their Spiritual Emphasis Week,” says Rodriguez. “I had the opportunity to minister to the middle school last fall, along with my good friend, former Philadelphia Eagles fullback Kevin Clemens. I can’t wait to share my music and the gospel message with the high school this time!”
“This was one of our best Spiritual Emphasis Weeks yet!” declares Megan Willink, NorthPointe Christian Middle School Principal. “Orlando’s ability to preach the gospel in a real and meaningful way is amazing! Staff and students alike were blessed by our time with him.”
“Our time with Orlando was off the charts amazing!” adds NorthPointe Christian Middle School Bible Teacher, Tim Perry. “His love for Jesus, his Game Changer, is inspiring. His great music talent has given him a platform to tell the world that Jesus is his King.”
Rodriguez is currently touring in support of his debut solo project, Turn the World Off, which was produced and mixed by hit-maker Chuck Alkazian (Percy Bady, Desmond Pringle, Christina Aguilera) at Pearl Sound in Canton, Michigan, and released to retail through Ten Three Records. Turn the World Off represents a musical journey of faith and showcases a new season of artistry for Rodriguez, who has toured and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry–including Backstreet Boys, Destiny’s Child, and *NSYNC–as the lead singer of the band P.U.M.P. before turning his music over to the Lord.
The new album represents four years of transition and spiritual growth for Rodriguez, as he has learned to incorporate his music and his faith, and to listen for God’s guidance in his life and career.
“We are all so busy, we all have so much going on, we are all so distracted that sometimes it’s hard to hear what God is saying to us,” Rodriguez muses. “And that’s the real question, isn’t it? Am I hearing from God, or am I simply going about my life and asking God to bless what I’m doing? Sometimes you have to turn the world off and eliminate those external distractions to really hear God!”
Rodriguez believes he has been called to reach this generation with the gift of song. “I’ve traveled a lot of places and I have seen a bunch of venues,” he says. “And I only have two goals that I live by–to edify the body of Christ and to evangelize those who don’t know God.”
With an approachable style and a focus on impact, Rodriguez is a new voice for the Lord at a time when his music and life message are unquestionably relevant.

About Orlando Rodriguez:
Orlando Rodriguez is an artist who can’t separate his performance from his song, or his life from his message. An innately talented singer-songwriter, Rodriguez experienced his first taste of success in the music business as the lead singer of the urban pop group P.U.M.P., where he shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Backstreet Boys, Destiny’s Child, and *NSYNC.
He advanced his music career one step at a time–touring relentlessly, he honed his craft as a songwriter, learned the art and science of producing, and became a student of the entertainment industry. After coming to the realization that he hadn’t fully dedicated his talents to the Lord, Rodriguez laid music on the altar, and allowed God to restore it in His time.
Rodriguez’s debut solo CD, Turn the World Off, was produced by hit-maker Chuck Alkazian (Percy Bady, Desmond Pringle, Christina Aguilera), and released in Summer 2016 through Ten Three Records. For more information, visit tenthreerecords.com.
