Kirk Baxley has been around the music scene in Texas for 12 years.  He is known for his time in the bands Greatness in Tragedy and Mother’s Anthem, but now Kirk wants to bring you the music that he says, “I have always longed to create.”  After releasing 3 self produced EPs of heartfelt songs of country music, Kirk has recorded another personal project called “The Pain We Bring.”

Kirk Baxley is a outspoken Christian both on and off the stage.  His faith shines in his music in songs like “Wayward Child.”  Now Kirk is ready to bring you a project full of very personal songs that he says on the Kickstarter are, “so honest it makes me uncomfortable at times.”

“This record touches on a child custody battle, the death of loved ones, break-ups, finding lasting love and balancing a faith in God in the midst of it all.  I have never been more proud of a record, and I feel compelled, even called to share it with as many people as I can.”

The Kickstarter campaign launched in January and ends February 23rd.  The project is at almost 25% funded.

“This is where you come in. I want to release “The Pain We Bring” independently, and I need your help to make it happen. We have tapped out our finances by putting together an amazing product but long for your help to put it in people’s hands.  I know $20K is a lot of money, but the cost of radio promotion, music videos, distribution and tour support add up quickly.  I promise to keep writing from my heart, and it is my hope that this music moves your soul the same way it moves mine.”

I've been a Christian and Rock music fan all my life. I love supporting my favorite bands and going to concerts. I'm a weird eccentric artist for sure that doesn't fit in so well at church. My passion right now is to use my writing, videos and photography, along with my experiences with mental illness and addiction, to reach out to others struggling and tell them that hope is always with them no matter what they are going through. Everything I do to reach out to others is only because of all the trials that God brought me through so I could turn around and help out others.
