Moody Radio morning drive-time host and Frontiers recording artist Perry LaHaie led worship and shared music from his critically-acclaimed CD, Ahead, during the Crescent Project’s recent Oasis Conference, held at the Open Door Presbyterian Church in Herndon, Virginia in the greater Washington D.C. area.
The Crescent Project’s mission–to inspire, equip and serve the Church in America to reach Muslims in America with the Gospel–is a perfect fit for LaHaie, who is best known as a recording artist with Frontiers, an international community of people dedicated to inviting Muslims all over the world to follow Jesus. Both LaHaie and the Crescent Project have a vision to see a day when fear is replaced with love and millions of Christians are actively sharing the truth of Christ with millions of Muslims for the glory of God. The Crescent Project does this through prayer, training, local outreach, and short-term trips. The Oasis Conference offered several workshops and general sessions with powerful speakers designed to equip attendees to reach our Muslim friends, neighbors, co-workers and classmates.
“Having led worship at Oasis, having heard the speakers and having sat in on the workshops, I am more convinced than ever that Jesus is raising up a generation passionate to reach the Muslim world,” says LaHaie. “At Oasis we heard that more Muslims have come to Jesus in the last 30 years than in the previous 1,400! But deep in my heart, I believe the greatest harvest is ahead. And I’m praying that that those who came to Oasis and whose hearts were filled up with God’s love to reach Muslims will be part of bringing in this coming great harvest.”
