john mark mcmillanJohn Mark McMillan is excited to announce his North American headlining “Tongues of Fire Tour” embarking this fall. On Sept. 19, the Charlotte, NC native will kick off the first leg in Asheville, NC with special guest The Brilliance. See below for a complete list of tour dates in the Southeast and the latest West Coast dates.

“We were young and we were not afraid,” quotes McMillan from his Borderland track “Tongues of Fire.” “My greatest hope for the ‘Tongues of Fire Tour’ is that it would be just that – a night of musical fellowship with our friends and our Maker. A night to revel in the gift of existence and celebrate the goodness of life and God together.”

The tour comes on the heels of a successful 2015 for McMillan. This spring John Mark & Sarah McMillan released their debut EP titled You Are The Avalanche through his record label Lionhawk Records. Co-written by McMillan and his wife, the EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel chart and peaked at #17 on the iTunes Overall Albums chart. The Borderland Sessions, McMillan’s compilation of alternate takes on his 2014 album Borderland, is currently nominated for “Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year” in the upcoming 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards. On Oct. 23, McMillan will release his highly anticipated debut live album and film, Live At The Knight, in partnership with Jesus Culture. The live show was captured in his hometown and features special guest performances by Kim Walker-Smith, Bryan and Katie Torwalt, and Sarah McMillan.

McMillan has also been chosen as one of the artists in Dr Pepper’s “One of a Kind Sound” music program, joining the ranks of OK Go, Flyleaf, Andrew Belle, Graham Colton and more. “One of a Kind Sound” highlights unique independent artists by featuring their music across multiple outlets including FM radio, streaming radio, digital media, social media, and more.
