“Grateful” is a song that we can all relate to. Encouraging, heartfelt words and a smooth, easy-to-listen-to voice make this song one you’ll happily have on repeat.
A song inspired by a journey, a journey that started from a young age, Franky Bells’ early experiences of writing of his trials and tribulations in the form poetry have transitioned into songwriting.
It’s not only the outlet of his experiences that have transitioned though. Franky Bells has also transitioned as a person. Music is now his second love whilst His relationship with God is number one in his life and this can be heard through the words he sings: “I just want to be where You want me to be… where You need… here is my heart. I’m grateful, You gave Your life even when I was lost in sin. I’m grateful, You paid the price so I’m telling You the truth is, I’m grateful, You saved me, didn’t have to but You did. I’m grateful…”
Once told by a friend that “I’ll never know God is all I need until I realize He’s all I have”, this statement has helped Franky look at life in a different way. With this new perspective, it’s all about who Franky Bells is living to become and not about who or what he was portraying himself to be and “Grateful” allows us to hear this. It encourages just as much as it lets us look at things from his perspective and I urge you to listen closely to the lyrics of this new release.
“Grateful” is taken from the soon to be released album Franky Bells on Takeover Records.
