Artist: Hezekiah Walker
Album: 20/85 The Experience
Firstly, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year!
Secondly, I want to say that I wish you all the best. Whatever situation you might find yourself in this year and through all of the successes you experience, I pray that you will grow and learn from each lesson you are presented with.
And lastly, I know that I have used this song for a previous Gospel Rewind (1/23/13), however, I feel that I have been given this song and would like to share it with you again.
You see, I found myself thinking about my year during the last week of December through to the beginning of this year. Everything that had happened, whether good or bad, I found myself rejoicing and giving thanks to God that I had been able to experience it.
I couldn’t stop smiling as I thought back to key moments of each month – key moments that were possible because of the Lord. I found myself singing “Grateful” from that moment.
2014 was the year that I trusted God more and leaned on Him in all things. I prayed more and I worried less. Something amazing, whether big or small, happened in each month. Some not so amazing things happened too, but each experience has taught me something and brought me to where I am today.
Yes, Lord, I am grateful for the things that You have done. I am grateful for the victories we’ve won. I could go on and on and on about Your work, because I’m grateful, grateful, so grateful just to praise You Lord. Flowing from my heart are the issue of my heart. It’s gratefulness.
Just as Hezekiah Walker sings grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful, may you also be able to sing it. May you be able to share your gratefulness with others and inspire them this year. May you be able to give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Have a fantastic week and check back next week for another Gospel Rewind.
