Missouri metal outfit Reconcera, which features three members under the age of 20, has released their brand new single to the masses. “Scumwrecker” is the first new material from the band since their self-titled EP that was released last year. Vocalist Josh Smith commented on the single by saying, “It was kind of a strange venture. We wanted to do something different from our EP, and it clearly shows. We wanted something fast and hard to really showoff the direction we wanted to take. Lyrically, the song talks about a character who is a horrible state of mind. It jumps between this character talking to himself, the character talking to God, and God talking to him. The whole idea of the song kind of stemmed from a place most people have been in their lives, where they just want to feel like they control everything when everything is falling apart around them. We didn’t draw influence from one particular source, we just tried to take an honest view at what we’ve been through and what we know our friends and family have been through.”
Reconcera is a four piece metal outfit based out of Saint Charles, Missouri. Three of the members are under the age of 20 with the vocalist being the oldest of the four. The band is more than determined to accomplish goals they’ve made and to ultimately help people with their spiritual influence. They have chosen to take a very aggressive form of their genre while also being over toned by passion and a proclamation of hope. The band currently has their 2013 self-titled EP in digital stores while also being managed by Sights Set North Agency, which is owned by It Lies Within’s vocalist.
