Gospel Rewind 09/25/14: Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ – Yes He Will
Artist: Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ Track: Yes He Will Album: Purpose By Design
The emperor moth goes through a struggle to break free from his cocoon but, once he does break free, he is fully formed and able to fly to freedom. The struggle he endures is one that helps shape him into what he’s supposed to be. The struggle enables him to develop muscles in his wings and so the more he pushes, the stronger he becomes. The stronger he becomes, the more persistently he pushes until one day, he is free to fly. If, however, the emperor moth is removed from his cocoon early, he will be underdeveloped and won’t be able to fly.
We are much like the emperor moth. Our situation, whatever it is, is developing us. Your situation is developing you. Preparing you. Just consult God and with each day you live through your situation, He will provide you with all you need to make it through. He will develop you until your day to fly away comes. He will strengthen you – you will have the power to overcome.
James 1:2-4 says that you must consider it pure joy…whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (NIV). Just as the emperor moth goes through his struggle in the cocoon, so must we continue on through our own situation, knowing that the Lord will guide us and lead us to victory. “Believe only and do not doubt, if fear moves in evict it out. For the Lord responds to faith and He longs to save the day.” It might even seem impossible but “if you ask the impossible won’t He do it?” Your situation is going to make you stronger and you will emerge as the person God wants you to be. Remember, He knows the plans He has for you.
I urge you to stand strong in faith because just as the moth’s struggle strengthens him, so will your situation strengthen you. Just believe in God. Say “yes He will” provide, “yes He will” sustain me, “yes He will” guide me, “yes He will.”
