Today I woke up at 5:30 and headed to the airport for a flight to Camp Electric – the week I talk about all year to everyone I meet. I met an awesome group of music loving people headed to Camp at the airport, and got to talk to them the whole flight there – SUCH cool people! Our flight landed and we hung out at the airport where I nearly tripped down the escalator!

Then, we were off to campus. I got to hang out with old friends that I’ve been waiting to see all year and met some new people! I got all settled in my room with some friends I’ve met at Camp before, and we were off on our exploration of campus! We all walked around until orientation with Camp pastor, John Nix. He is a great guy! Then, I went to dinner and sat next to Bellarive, the lead-worship band here this year. Soon after, I found myself waiting for Capital Kings and Royal Tailor!

If you’ve ever had a doubt about whether or not to see Capital Kings live, just do it. Your heart will thank you forever. Capital Kings has had a very large impact on me, and I was so very excited to see them live for the first time since Winter Jam. Through a lot of points in my life, Capital Kings’ music has been my strength when I had no one to lean on anymore. I absolutely love them! They were SO GOOD! I couldn’t believe I was in the same vicinity as them, and they certainly blew everyone away with their talent!

Royal Tailor was next up. Tauren and the rest of the band ROCKED it! There were mash-ups, old songs, recent songs, electric guitar solos – pretty much all the elements to a great show, and that wasn’t even the best part!

After the concerts, there were meet and greets. First I got to talk to Royal Tailor and they told me they read my album review and loved it, that they loved the poster I made for them, and thanked me for my support of their music. I was blown away that they took time to talk to me and that they took time to read my review. That was one of the coolest experiences of my life!

Then, I got to meet Capital Kings. I got to tell them how much they meant to me, and Cole looked so happy to hear someone pour love out on them. I was so very honored to get the chance to meet the Jon and Cole, and I was teary-eyed when I walked away!

I went back to the dorm, got ready for bed, wrote a song with my dorm sisters, and had a snack. I am currently laying here writing this for you as our maintenance man had to fix the small pool of water on the floor. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow holds! I’ll keep you posted!
